Robert Brosseau has worked as an account supervisor/director for a number of pharmaceutical marketing & communications firms including Grey/ Phase V, Anderson DDB and more recently as a VP Clients Services with Ogilvy Healthworld.
Activities included the management of internal creative, art, and writing resources. Leading strategic and tactical think tanks. Managing projects within pre-determined budget and time frameworks. Negotiating and responding to regulatory recommendations from PAAB and internal client resources (e.g. Medical). Responsibilities also included liaising and consulting with clients and development of new business.
Brands launched include Norvasc, Zithromax, Zoloft, Elidel, Exelon, and Cozaar/Hyzaar. Other prescription brand assignments included Plavix, Zemuron, Risperdal, Prevacid, Famvir, Coreg, Cardizem CD, Renedil, Minipress, Sinequan, Feldene, Anzemet, Vibra-Tabs, Cefobid, Lamisil and the GSK/Shire HIV portfolio. OTC brands include J&J products (Aveeno, Band-Aid, Reach, Penaten, Neutrogena, Baby Shampoo), Tylenol and Pepcid. Other brands include the Roche Diagnostics diabetes portfolio, Ethicon Proceed surgical mesh, Abbott nutritionals, Mallinckrodt contrast dyes and radiopharmaceuticals, and Unilever's SlimFast.
Market reasearch experience includes supervising a number of research assignments including moderating physician groups for the Physicians Network.
Experience also includes consulting for the insurance industry: preparation of drug reviews including formulary listing recommendations, support to internal groups such as sales, actuarial, and underwriting. Adjudication of claim appeals, development of drug special authorization criteria.
Licensed as pharmacist with l'Ordre des pharmaciens du Quebec (OPQ) and university degrees from McGill (B.Sc. biochemistry major) and the University of British Columbia (B.Pharm). Director on the Pharmaceutical Marketing Club of Quebec (PMCQ) for six years. Currently work as a consultant and part-time pharmacist.
